Peter Haywood, Hon Chaplain, Castle Class Corvette (Frigate) Association, Took on the project of having a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire (Photo Above) dedicated to the Castle Class Ships. The memorial was built with stone taken from Castles of the same name as the ships and some stones where received from Alnwick, Bamborough, Denbigh, Guildford, Hever, Lancaster, Pembroke, Sherborne and Rushen Castle (which became Weather Surveyor)
